Summary
We hosted the Simplified Trade System (STS) Summit in June 2023. The event brought together over 300 representatives from industry, business, academia and government.
This document summarises the outcomes from the day.
We identified opportunities and challenges to reform cross-border trade. This included:
- the importance of working with our international partners
- drawing on industry best practice
- better using data and information to increase trust and efficiency
- rethinking our regulatory foundations to ensure the delivery of fit for purpose policy
- avoiding out of date, duplicative rules relating to technology.
