Austrade supported Australian businesses to showcase their green economy and education and training capabilities at CIFTIS.
Australia’s eye-catching pavilion was the perfect platform to showcase its world-leading green economy capabilities at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing.
Held in September, CIFTIS is the world’s largest fair dedicated to the promotion of trade in services, this year, it drew more than 242,000 visitors.
This year, Austrade supported 20 Australian businesses onsite, and another 12 online. The spotlight was on education and training and green technologies, products and services.
Five memoranda of understanding were signed during the expo. This included an agreement between CPA Australia and te Beijing Software and Information Service Industry Association.
In addition to business-matching meetings, Austrade delivered 2 seminars on environmental, social and governance, and adapting skills for a net zero future. These seminars provided insights on Australian capability in these areas for the Chinese audience. Austrade also ran livestreaming sessions to educate consumers on carbon-neutral-certified products, such as Lark, Noumi and Earth Clear.
Austrade is now gearing up for CIFTIS 2025 in September next year, where Australia will be the guest country of honour. The fair is a great opportunity for Australian services providers to interact with and showcase their green capabilities to prospective customers in China.
