Australian Export Awards 2025

The search begins for Australia’s most successful exporters.

29 April 2025

Applications for the 63rd annual Australian Export Awards open today and for the first time a new award category will celebrate the outstanding international success of Australia’s First Nations businesses.

The First Nations Exporter Award has been added to the long-running program that will now showcase Australian export excellence across 14 national award categories.

The 2025 Australian Exporter of the Year will be selected from the national category winners.

Last year's 88 national finalists generated more than $7.8 billion in export earnings and employed more than 24,300 people.

The Australian Export Awards is run by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in conjunction with state and territory bodies.

Austrade CEO Dr Paul Grimes said the awards were a fitting celebration of the achievements of Australia’s successful exporters.

“Australian exporters make a significant contribution to Australia’s economic prosperity.

“One in four Australian jobs relies on trade so it’s important that their efforts are supported and their success recognised,” Dr Grimes said.

After receiving the 2024 Australian Exporter of the Year award, President of Rising Sun Pictures Jennie Zeiher said the Awards were a valuable platform to showcase the quality and innovation that Australian companies brought to the world.

“Being recognised not only strengthens our reputation but also showcases the impact of our work on a global scale,” Ms Zeiher said.

Applications for the 63rd Australian Export Awards open today (29 April) and close on 13 June. State and territory winners will be announced at ceremonies from August to October.

Eligible winners progress as national finalists in the Australian Export Awards with winners announced at the national ceremony at Parliament House on 26 November.
