Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER) Plus

This is a regional, development-centred free trade agreement.

What PACER Plus offers

PACER Plus is an important part of Australia's engagement in the Pacific. It will help to foster a secure, stable, and prosperous region. PACER Plus provides commercial opportunities for Australian exporters and investors in a range of sectors.

PACER Plus entered into force on 13 December 2020 for:

  • Australia
  • Cook Islands
  • Kiribati
  • New Zealand
  • Niue
  • Samoa
  • Solomon Islands
  • Tonga
  • Tuvalu
  • Vanuatu.

Nauru has signed the agreement but has not ratified.
