Kirstyn Thomson is Austrade’s Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for Singapore.
Kirstyn is responsible for delivering Australia’s ambitious trade and investment agenda in Singapore. She plays a lead role in delivering Australia’s regional outbound investment ambitions under Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
Prior to this role, Kirstyn led Austrade’s Americas investment group. Kirstyn was formerly the British Government’s Regional Cities and Infrastructure specialist for Asia. There she advised on economic infrastructure planning, preparation and financing. She also advised on sustainable urban development in markets including Myanmar and Nepal.
Kirstyn’s career has focussed on built environment investment and development across Europe, Asia and the USA. Based in London, she was formerly head of DTZ’s global corporate location practice. At DTZ, she assisted multinationals with global expansion and site selection. She also advised government agencies on large-scale economic development projects.
