Bernice Vanguardia is Australia's Trade and Investment Commissioner to Manila. She leads a team of business development professionals to boost two-way trade between Australia and the Philippines.
Bernice has extensive international experience advancing Australia's trade, investment and economic agenda. At Austrade she's led a team of Global Engagement Managers, achieving commercial success for clients. She also served in London to facilitate trade opportunities with UK and Europe.
Previously, Bernice was at the Australian Treasury. Her experience in G20 and foreign investment culminated in working for two Treasury cabinet ministers. She started her career in private sector marketing and events roles.
Bernice holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Communications. In 2021, Bernice was a scholar for the Asialink Business Leaders Program. She speaks Tagalog, French and foundational Indonesian.
